The semiconductor solid-state microwave source is used in microwave ablation equipment with precisely adjustable frequency and power, real-time monitoring of the microwave source status, and real-time frequency adjustment according to changes in the state of the ablated tissue to achieve the best antenna radiation effect. This is an advantage over traditional magnetron microwave sources.


In order to verify the improved effect of the semiconductor solid-state microwave source compared with the traditional magnetron on the ablation effect, a scholar used the semiconductor microwave source and the magnetron to ablate pig liver with the same type of microwave ablation needle. The output frequency of the magnetron was 2450 MHz and the power was 80 W. The output frequency of the semiconductor microwave source was set automatically according to the tissue to be ablated, and the output power was 50 W. The ablation time was five minutes.
